A new Mediterranean cyclone is to bring a lot of precipitation to Hungary. In some parts of the country, snowfall is expected. And as Thursday approaches, the simulations show more and more snow.

Snow to come in Hungary

The snowfall will start in Transdanubia on Thursday at dawn. Here is a video simulation:

In the Bakony and the Northern mountains, that means a thick snow layer. Furthermore, by morning, many areas and cities will be covered by snow in Transdanubia. For example, a map shared by the website talks about 7-10 centimetres in Pápa, Western Hungary. Furthermore, the snowfall will probably last until late afternoon.

In the Nagy-Hideg-Hegy (Great Cold Mountain, Börzsöny, Northern Hungary), the snow layer may reach 50 cm tomorrow afternoon, idokep.hu highlighted. In Transdanubia, we should expect strong winds able to build snowdrifts.
