Port étterem & panzió

Located next to the port in Balatonmáriafürdő, this restaurant underwent a conceptual transformation a few years ago. They strive to use ingredients sourced from local producers as much as possible, and their drinks menu features several wines from the southern shore.

They recently renovated their terrace, with a part of it essentially functioning as a winter garden. This means that the walls provide protection from extreme weather conditions, while offering a breath-taking view of the lake.

Egy Csipet Nádas

Egy Csipet Nádas is a particularly charming and enchanting place. Nestled amidst nature, with shady trees, meadows, goats, and birds, this traditional thatched-roof building offers surprisingly modern dishes. Thanks to tasteful renovations, the atmosphere of the inn has been preserved. Furthermore, the quality of the food and drinks is on par with what you would expect in a bustling city center.

The portions are generous, beautifully presented, and delicious. Because of the ambiance, one tends to stay longer than just a quick lunch. If there’s a place worth making a small detour for, this is it!

Kistücsök

On the southern shore, there isn’t another place that has been offering such high-quality cuisine for such a long time, with a customer base that has grown up alongside the restaurant. They celebrated their 30th anniversary by receiving the Bib Gourmand award from Michelin.

In 2021, they completed their four-star accommodation with 19 rooms and two suites. Additionally, they have created a place called “Chef’s Room,” where they prepare the dishes in an open kitchen, allowing guests to have conversations with the chefs while they prepare delicious meals. As an extra treat, they have opened their own store, where visitors can purchase quality gourmet souvenirs.

Kékajtó Borászat és Szőlőbirtok

Kékajtó Winery is a family business located in the Balatonboglár wine region. Their vineyards are exclusively situated in Kőröshegy, embraced by the Valley Bridge. They offer 3-5 wine tasting sessions and 1–2 hour professional walking tours, arrangable by appointment.

Their orange wine, called “Színjáték,” is a true specialty. It is bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with the sediment, giving it exceptionally vibrant flavours.
