Check out some of the most charming squares in Hungary

Change language:
Hungary has a lot to be proud of, and one of those things is its gorgeous squares. Check out this list of 5+1 of the prettiest squares in the country.
1. Egyetem tér (University Square), Budapest

The reason this square is called University Square is that ELTE’s Faculty of Law can be found here. This attractive place is right between the busy Kálvin Square and the beautiful Ferenciek tere (Ferenciek Square). Apart from the beautiful building of the Faculty of Law, there are several culinary offers to choose from: there is a Hummus Bar, a bakery called nor/ma that brings you the specialities of Scandinavia, and a Pad Thai.
2. Kossuth tér (Kossuth Square), Kaposvár

Since its renovation in 2003, the square has been considered one of the most beautiful main squares in Hungary. In 2010, it was awarded the prize for the most beautiful main square and main street in Hungary, together with Fő Street, and in 2017, it was voted the most beautiful main square in Europe at the European Contest of Towns and Villages in Bloom.
3. Rózsák tere (Roses’ Square), Budapest

In the 18th century, this square was famous not for its magnificent church but for its livestock fairs, which attracted large crowds. Hence its first name, Poultry Market Square. The parish church of St. Elizabeth of the House of Árpád, which stands in the middle of the square, is the work of Imre Steindl, the architect of the Parliament.

Just Beautiful.
Why we love Hungary.
Glorious – and of course we have many others spread out in our country, that are Beautiful.
