Hungary, Ukraine Renew Cultural Cooperation
(MTI) – Hungary and Ukraine have renewed their cultural cooperation agreement with a three-year action plan.
The document was signed in Szarvas, southeast Hungary, on Friday by Peter Hoppal, state secretary at Hungary’s human resources ministry, and Aleksandr Zhuravchak, deputy culture minister of Ukraine.
Hoppal told a news conference that the meeting aimed at preparing steps to deepen cultural ties between the countries had been successful.
“Hungary has a vested interest in the stability of Ukraine, which is our biggest neighbour,” he said.
The two countries’ agreement on cooperation in culture, education and science was signed in 1995.
