Brazilian and Bosnian football players became Hungarian citizens
The duo received their Hungarian passports and will now be available for the national side.
Paulo VinÃcius and Asmir Suljic took their oaths on Friday morning to become Hungarian citizens. The ceremony was conducted by Székesfehervár mayor András Cser-Palkovics.
“As I have already said, I feel really good here in Hungary. Several important events have taken place in my life over the last six years here. These all tie me to the country as a result. Today is a special day in my life and yet another dream becomes reality on Sunday when I link up with the national squad. I have worked hard for this and am really looking forward to being there. I want to achieve further success with Vidi” – commented Paulo Vinicius to the clubs website.
“This is a big day in my life and an honour that I can become a Hungarian national from now. I would like to thank Videoton and the whole of Hungary and I am delighted. This decision also allows me the possibility to play for the national side. I hope that I will get that chance” – commented Asmir Suljic.
