PM Orbán and President Erdogan discuss bilateral relations in Beijing
Speaking from the Chinese capital, Bertalan Havasi, head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister, has told Hungarian news agency MTI that “The main agenda point in the meeting between Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán and Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was a review of the state of Hungarian-Turkish bilateral relations”.
The two politicians held bilateral talks prior to the “One Belt, One Road” international cooperation forum.
Reporting on the meeting, Mr. Havasi said that the recently renovated Tomb of Gul Baba in Budapest will be officially reopened in the near future, and President Erdoğan is also expected to attend the ceremony.
The Prime Minister’s press chief said that the President of Turkey had invited Prime Minister Orbán to make an official visit to Ankara, which the Hungarian head of government gratefully accepted.
