7 ice cream places in Budapest for this summer
During the hot summer season, people tend to cool down their heated up body by eating a tasty ice cream. Funzine.hu concluded a list of seven nice places in Budapest where customers can please their appetite with some cold sweets.
Erdős és fiai Cukrászda (Erdős and sons confectionary)
Erdős and sons brought new life to the gastronomy of Kelenföld and its surroundings. They have sugar free and lactose free ice creams, but the real attractions are the homemade and awarded rarities: vanilla with pink pepper, black currant with white chocolate and quark with saffron. Fragola Fagylaltozó
Fragola has eight stores in Budapest. They combine the large variety with kind staff and friendly prices. Turmeric cashew, amarena sour cherry and sugar free salted peanut can be tasted at the stores, for only about an euro per portion.

Gelarto Rosa
The number of Gelarto stores tripled recently, as, besides the one near the Basilica, there are also shops in Sas Street (Gelarto Bistro) and in Hercegprímás Street (Gelarto Pop Up). They offer specialties like black sesame, or the seasonal lactose free elderberry ice creams.

Daubner Confectionery
Daubner Confectionary has a long line of customers waiting before its stores quite frequently; it is popular among people from Buda for a long time. The 116 years old confectionery offers the most delicious cakes, chocolate, parfés, scones and ice cream. Among the latter ones, probably the E-80 and the yogurt with strawberry are worth trying the most.

Levendula Kézműves Fagylaltozó (Levendula Traditional Ice Cream)
Levendula has multiple ice-cream stores in Hungary, from Győr through Pécs to Debrecen. Those offer more than a thousand traditional specialties, neither of which contain any additives. Several seasonal ice creams can be found, like elderberry with mint, white chocolate with lavender, or Japanese green tea. Special needs are also satisfied, as vegan, sugar free, lactose free and gluten free products can also be purchased. Levendula also accommodates to the different seasons, as the colder months bring the handmade pralines and hot chocolate into the variety.

Anjuna Ice Pops
Anjuna offers a different concept concerning ice cream. It is a natural, gluten free and vegan type of ice pops. They sell a special kind of dog pops for the pets as well. Raw cookies and acai bowl can also be bought, as well as ice latte and matcha latte. The variety of ice creams rotates from season to season. Recently, one may try rarities like Borneo pepper with vanilla, or their chia pudding with raspberry. The best part is that all the products are made without any preservatives or coloring.
