Budapest-based startup enbrite.ly wins biggest prize at Slush 100

Helsinki, Finland – enbrite.ly, a six-month-old startup from Budapest, Hungary, rocked the stage at the Slush 100 competition, winning 500K EUR in competition among four finalists.

The enbrite.ly fights ad fraud on the Internet, helping advertisers save up to 36% of their advertising budget, according to IAB research.

The original prize, 250K EUR, was doubled at the last minute on stage just before enbrite.ly was announced as the winner. enbrite.ly has spent one month in Finland before Slush, participating in the autumn batch of Startup Sauna 2014 – the best startup accelerator program in the Nordics.

The Slush 100 pitching competition’s final four contestants (enbrite.ly, Codementor, RePack and CosmEthics) were selected from more than 1000 applicants from all over the world. About the other three teams competing for the prize:

  • Codementor is a marketplace which provides training on software development.
  • RePack is a globally unique reusable packaging service for online retailers. RePack improves consumer experience, cuts the cost of packaging and eliminates packaging waste.
  • CosmEthics provides consumers with the possibility to venture behind the gloss of the cosmetics world.
