According to Tropical Magazine, there are now more than a hundred amazing hotels in Hungary, the offer is constantly increasing in Budapest and numerous wellness resorts have been developed in rural areas. This year, at least seven new hotels, or rather, B and Bs, are opening in Budapest, and we encounter an army of tourists from Heroes Square to the Buda Castle.

Of the hotels in the centre of the capital, the Aria Hotel received a TripAdvisor Award. The small hotel next to the Basilica welcomes its guests in the spirit of music with trendy spaces and a unique concept. Its layout is glorious and its wellness section reflects the luxury of a Roman bath. I also tried the Stradivari Restaurant, which is among the best in Pest.

The Kempinski has been operating at a high standard for a long time and its recently completed refurbishments have done it good. The Prestige Hotel is also a favourite and recently it received the Sleep Friendly Hotel Award. Its advantage, apart from its location, is that the Costes Downtown Restaurant also resides in this building and the breakfast is of Michelin star quality.

Ritz-Carlton, however, is a different brand entirely and has nothing to do with his family. It is a brand name owned by Marriott, the operating company based in Boston, USA. The ownership of the hotel in Budapest was taken on by the Al-Habtoor Group, owned by Dubai businessman, Khalaf Al-Habtoor, who has a good relationship with the network of the Hungarian Commercial and Cultural Centre.
