Catholic Church to send aid to Ukraine Hungarians
Budapest, March 1 (MTI) – The Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference will send 10 million forints worth of aid to help needy families and old people living alone in Ukraine’s Transcarpathia.
At the same time, the Hungarian Catholic Church has called on believers to make donations to ethnic kin in Ukraine.
In a statement sent to MTI on Sunday, the bishops’ conference said that the war had made life difficult for Ukraine’s Hungarian community, noting soaring food prices and dwindling wages.
