Wizz Air not to restart Budapest-Baku flight

Budapest- Baku Wizz Air-flight would have been restarted on 29 March, but according to the airline, the Baku airport has not complied with the agreement of airport fees and charges between the parties, so the restart stopped, hvg.hu says.

“Wizz Air confirms that the restart of the Budapest- Baku service – which was initially planned on 29 March – stopped, after the Baku airport has not complied with the agreement of airport fees and charges between the parties” – Daniel de Carvalho, airline spokesman said.

The airline will refund the price of the tickets for the canceled routes for every passenger – he added.

The Baku flight was not operated  for economic reasons in the winter schedule.

Wizz Air launched direct flight between Budapest and Baku in June 2013. That notification reported 2 flights a week and 30 thousand passengers in the first year, hvg.hu says.
