LMP to take legal action against Fidesz
The opposition LMP party has vowed to take legal action against ruling party Fidesz for its “statement of lies” concerning a meeting between Bernadett Szél, LMP’s co-leader, and Philippe Lamberts, leader of the European Parliament’s Greens-EFA group.
Fidesz issued a statement on Monday saying that Szél had held talks “with affiliates of [US financier George] Soros … as if they were coming off an assembly line” and “as a reliable ally of George Soros“, Lamberts had “attacked Hungary at every turn”.
LMP said in a statement in reaction that
“Szél said today that LMP did not support the quota without an upper limit, but the ruling party has stated the opposite and has begun to serialise this assertion.”
At the meeting with Lamberts, Szél discussed the European Union’s pillar of social rights and Hungary’s relationship with the bloc. At a press conference afterwards, Szél insisted that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán “deliberately distorts” the idea behind the initiative.
Lamberts expressed concerns over what he called Orbán’s “populist tone”.
He called Orbán and the EU’s relationship “difficult”, adding that Hungary was “in need of political change”.
He also voiced concerns over what he said was an increasingly close relationship between the Hungarian government and Russian President Vladimir Putin and the government’s favouring of nuclear energy. “Nuclear energy has no future,” Lamberts insisted.

The only legal action you should taking Szél Bernadett, is to have a new lock on your toilet door to stop all credible politicians from flushing you and your incredible views down the toilet.
