Foreign ministry shocked over Kenya terrorist attack
Budapest, April 2 (MTI) – The foreign ministry learnt with “deep shock” about Thursday’s terrorist attack at Kenya’s Garissa University, the ministry said in a statement.
Hungary firmly condemns hate-motivated violence, the ministry said in its statement, adding that nothing can justify crimes against human life. The statement also expressed Hungary’s sympathy with families of the victims.
The ministry is not aware of any Hungarians staying in the region, the statement said, suggesting that there have been no Hungarian victims.
The university was attacked by the al-Shabaab Islamic militia early on Thursday. The terrorists shot over 70 people and took hostages.
