Middle-East hotelier leads Budapest Ritz-Carlton

Rahim Abu Omar, a professional with experience in hospitality of more than three decades, will be responsible for controlling the hotel, and for further increasing its outstanding position in local, regional, and international markets, reports Turizmusonline.hu.

Rahim Abu Omar is a hotel manager of Jordanian origin, widely known for his excellent leading abilities and business skills. Through his career, he worked in several locations, such as the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and also in Lebanon. Before joining the Ritz-Carlton Budapest, he worked as a hotel manager at Metropolitan Hotel Dubai and Metropolitan Beach Resort Club, and as a chief executive at Habtoor Hotels.

Last he was the hotel manager at Gulf Hotel Bahrain, making it one of the market leader hotels in the region.

Rahim Abu Omar played an indispensable role in the opening of such hotels as the Metropolitan Beach Resort & Club, the Metropolitan Palace Hotel Dubai, the Metropolitan Palace Hotel Beirut, the Habtoor Grand Beirut and the Habtoor Grand Dubai. 

Besides, he took part in the comprehensive rebranding of more four- and five-star hotels on the market.

Abu Omar is a member of the first Hotel Committee of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. Throughout his career so far he had been awarded as Hotelier of the Year in 2009 in Jordan and was chosen as one of the top 50 influential hoteliers in the Middle East that year by Hotelier ME magazine.
