Origo.hu said that it was the most busy in the beginning of the year in Budapest Airport terminals, as almost 2 million passenger has arrived and taken off in the first quarter of the year.
The usually most weak circulation of the year is in January, but actually the number of passengers have been increased and continued to increase in February and March at Liszt Ferenc Airport. In comparison with the last year, there was a 12,6 percentage of increase which counts as the most intense beginning of the year at all time in Ferihegy – it is find out from the Budapest Airport’s announcement.
London is the most popular: to London’s 4 airport there are 5 airline which takes off from Budapest. The second destination was Paris; thanks to Air France which has increased its service. After Paris the next in line is Brussels, than Rome, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Milan, Amsterdam, Munich and Moscow.
Wizz Air is stable in its leading position
The most used airline is still the Wizz Air. The airline, with the Hungarian backstory, is bringing its ninth Air bus A320 type of plane to Budapest. Thanks to the new plane, the airline can launch flights to Maastricht, to Hurghada and to Sardinia, plus it can increase the number of flights of its already existed destinations. Based on the number of passengers, the second in line is Ryanair, than Lufthansa, EasyJet, Norwegian, Air France, Gremaning, British Airway, KLM and the Turkish Airlines.
