Hungary guest nights climb 7.1pc in November
Guest nights spent in commercial lodgings in Hungary rose by 7.1 percent year on year to 1,914,000 in November, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
Guest nights spent by foreign visitors increased by 8.7 percent to 973,000, while those spent by domestic travellers climbed by 5.6 percent to 942,000.
Revenue was up 16 percent at 35 billion forints in the period.
In January-November, the number of guest nights increased by 6.7 percent year on year to 27,618,000. The number nights spent by foreign guests was up 8 percent at 13,946,000 and the number spent by domestic guests increased by 5.4 percent to 13,671,000.
Revenue of the sector was up 15.8 percent at 430 billion forints in the period.
The occupancy rate rose by 3.5 percentage points to 60.2 percent.
