According to divany.hu, World Press Photo announced the 12 young photographers who can participate in this year’s Joop Swart master course. Among the best there also was the Hungarian Istvan Bielik.
The Joop Swart master course of the world-famous photo exhibition was founded in 1994. The essence of the master class is that the young receive guidance from professionals at work. This year, participants will come together with six prominent masters in November to talk about their pictures made in the topic “Invisible”. Anyway, Akos Stiller was also in the master course last year, but other Hungarians participated in the Joop Swart as well in previous years.
Istvan Bielik joined the newspaper Nepszava, initially as a trainee. He won the Grand Prize of the 32th Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition with his series on Syria. He’s been the colleague of Origio since 2014.
