Hungary, Cape Verde prime ministers meet for first time in history
The heads of government of Hungary and Cape Verde met “for the first time in history”, in Budapest on Thursday.
Viktor Orbán, the Hungarian prime minister, received his counterpart Jose Ulisses Correia e Silva in Parliament.
Parties at the talks established that Cape Verde, which has many links with Europe, could serve as a base to build ties with other parts of Africa, and the country offers tourism and infrastructure project opportunities for European ventures.
At the talks, Orbán offered scholarships at Hungarian universities to 10 students from Cape Verde.
Silva invited Orbán for an official visit to his country.
