Water quality measurement project has been launched in Danube Band towns
The National Public Health and Medical Officer Service (NPHMOS) has launched a water quality measurement project in seven Danube Band riverside towns. The project aims at supporting the leisure opportunities on the banks of Danube River, travelo.hu reported.
“The project is sponsored by Coca-Cola Hungary, and the water quality measurement is performed by the NPHMOS from May to September. The aim of the project is to support the free time, sport, and bathing opportunities on the banks of River Danube in the towns of Szentendre, Dunabogdány, Kisoroszi, Leányfalu, Pócsmegyer, Szigetmonostor, and Tahitótfalu,” says the communique.
Earlier in May, the NPHMOS already measured good water quality at the priority recreation areas. “Based on the data available, the quality of the water at the Danube Bend has been excellent for years, and the beaches concerned are fully adequate for bathing” said Józsefné Magai, the public health supervisor of NPHMOS.
The latest data concerning the quality of the water in these areas will be available on iloveduna.hu from 29 June.
