Government signs strategic cooperation pact with US oil giant ExxonMobil
The Hungarian government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with US oil giant ExxonMobil in Budapest on Friday.
The agreement was signed by Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and ExxonMobil Hungary CEO Romke Noordhuis.
In his speech at the signing ceremony, Szijjártó said ExxonMobil would play an important role in shaping Hungary’s future. He said the company could provide jobs for Hungary’s skilled workers and help boost the country’s energy security.
Noordhuis said that as head of ExxonMobil’s Budapest service centre, he expected the company to expand its activities in Hungary in the future.
He underlined the importance of Budapest in his company’s global network and added that the agreement signed on Friday strengthened ExxonMobil’s commitment to Hungary.
