How much do average Hungarians weigh and what do they eat?
According to the latest data published by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO), 40 pc of the Hungarians above 15 have normal body weight. Furthermore, the average height of women is 164 cm while they weigh 69 kilos. These numbers are 176 cm and 83 kg in case of men. In fact, the HCSO published its ‘Health state and health preservation, 2016-2017’ report a couple of days ago. Szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu’s summary on it.
It is healthier to have a job in the long run
According to the report, only 5 pc of the people can be regarded as underweight while
more than half of the population is overweight.
To make matters worse, most of the latter and 1/3rd of people above 16 are obese. The HCSO also analysed the connections between work and doing exercises. Based on the results, 58 pc of those who do not move while they work do some kind of workout. Every second one of them spends at least 4 hours per week with training. In fact,
those having no job train the least.
Only 1/3rd of them regularly do some kind of training and for only 1/5th of them does the time spent on such activities reach 4 hours.
What do Hungarians eat?
According to the HCSO, 40 pc of the people above 16 eat fruits or freshly squeezed juice while 38 pc consume fresh vegetables or freshly squeezed vegetable juice on a daily basis. Presumably, there are significant differences in this regard based on the average salary. According to szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu,
those with thicker paychecks eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
In 2016, 1/3rd of the population above 16 never went to the dentist while 18 pc of them showed up on dental consultations one or two times. Besides, only 7.1 pc of the Hungarians went to see the dentist regularly. Thus, it is not surprising that most people only turn to the dentist in case of having a problem. Consequently,
only a few think about prevention.
6.2 pc of the population said that he or she did not get the required medical treatment. To be specific, 10 pc of them did not get it because they did not have enough money. Moreover, it happened with 4.1 pc of the population that they could not buy a prescribed medicine because of money shortage.
