Syrian boys wounded in Aleppo bombing in Budapest hospital
Budapest, August 12 (MTI) – A four-year-old Syrian boy and his younger brother who are thought to have been injured in a bombing raid on Aleppo, in Syria, are being treated in Budapest’s Bethesda hospital, the daily Nepszabadsag reported on Wednesday.
A photo of the older brother was published by a rights organisation from Macedonia. Several journalists, MEPs and a German rights organisation had offered to help the family that crossed the Greece-Macedonia border with their two children on Aug. 2.
A photographer from the German daily Hamburger Morgenpost had taken the snap of the older boy who had serious injuries to two limbs and his head.
Nepszabadsag learnt at the hospital that Mohamed and his younger brother, who is around one year old, had been taken to a hospital in Szeged in southern Hungary for emergency care but were later transferred to Budapest. They have been in Bethesda with burns and in a critical condition since Thursday.
A senior doctor of the centre, Eva Csorba, told the paper that no surgery had been carried out on the children so far.
