Nobel laureate sees Europe’s liberalism suicidal
Budapest, September 7 (MTI) – Hungary’s Nobel laureate author Imre Kertesz (85) has written about Europe’s liberalism as childish and suicidal in his latest book entitled The Last Refuge, Monday’s daily Magyar Idok said, citing a recent report by Swedish news portal FriaTider.
The paper said that Kertesz had sharply criticised the Western establishment’s decision to allow Europe to change its population through mass immigration from Third World countries.
“Europe will soon go under because of its previous liberalism which has proven childish and suicidal,” according to a summary of Kertesz’s book by the blogger Thomas Nydahl. “Europe produced Hitler, and after Hitler there stands a continent with no arguments: the doors are wide open for Islam; no longer does anyone dare talk about race and religion, while at the same time Islam only knows the language of hatred against all foreign races and religions,” the blogger cited Kertesz’s book as saying.
“I would talk about how Muslims are flooding, occupying, in no uncertain terms, destroying Europe; about how Europe relates to this, about the suicidal liberalism and the stupid democracy . It always ends the same way: civilization reaches a stage of maturation where it is not only unable to defend itself, but where it in a seemingly incomprehensible manner worships its own enemy,” he said.
Magda Kertesz, the writer’s wife, told MTI on Monday that her husband still stood by his statements written down several years ago. The book includes a selection of writings from the period between 2002 and 2009.
“The text is not hate-enticing or discriminatory, it is just a sad diagnosis that Imre Kertesz has made,” she said. Kertesz’s writing can be considered a prophecy that fits the current situation well and it has started being fulfilled, she added.

A wake up call for the civilisation.
It is worth noting that Imre Kertesz’ book titled “The Last Refuge” is very very difficult to locate and obtain.
All of his other books are widely available, but not this one.’
Makes one wonder: Why?
Would anyone, please, provide an answer?
