Zsanett Lakatos wins gold medal in 2015 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships
Zsanett Lakatos won gold medal in 2015 ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in women’s C-1 on Friday’s opening day in Győr. The silver medal also went to a Hungarian athlete, Kincső Takács. Lakatos’ historic victory is all the more important because women’s canoe is included in Marathon World Cup program the first time.
Kincső TakácsNo one threatened Lakatos’ victory; one and a half hours after the start she reached the finish line first; followed by Takács nearly five minutes later; while the bronze medal went to Marine Sansinena of France.
