Budapest is a beautiful city as it is, but there is something extra special about panorama shots of the city. Luckily, there are five amazing spots above the city which enable any Instagram lover to take that perfect shot of the capital.
The Citadel
On the top of Gellért Hill, the Citadel is one of the most popular sights of the Hungarian capital. It is indeed worth visiting for many more reasons than to take a panorama shot of Budapest.

Budapest Eye
Located in the heart of Budapest, the Budapest Eye lifts you up and takes you above the city. It is not as big as the famous London Eye, but it is definitely something fun to check out if you are visiting Hungary’s capital. It is a nice experience, and as an added bonus, you can take a few pretty amazing photos up there.
Hármashatár-hegyi Kilátó
It is officially called Guckler Károly-Kilátópont [Guckler Károly Lookout Point], but everyone calls it the Hármashatár-hegyi kilátó. This lookout tower is a cherished spot of locals. Not many tourists know about this place, even though it offers a really beautiful view of Budapest. It is further up on the hill, but it is definitely worth the trip.
Fisherman’s Bastion
Another well-known tourist attraction of Budapest is the Fisherman’s Bastion. The Bastion itself is beautiful, but from the top, the view of the Danube and the Parliament building are just as special. These photos speak for themselves.
High Note Skybar
High Note Skybar is the rooftop bar of the Aria Hotel Budapest, and it has been mentioned as one of the best rooftop bars in the world by prestigious travelling magazine Condé Nast. The bar has a unique location which enables visitors to see both the historic and the modern side of Budapest.
