Balna Budapest cultural centre opens on the Pest embankment
Bálna Budapest (Whale) just opened close to the Great Market Hall on the Pest side. A three-day series of programs are available now.
The Bálna Budapest built in the shape of a whale. The building, designed by the Dutch architect Kaas Oosterhuis, should have opened by August 2010, but the contractor left it in a half-finished state and failed to pay his subcontractors.
Finally last night the Bálna was opened and the new modern building in the city centre is attract the tourists. The Bálna Budapest will be commercial, cultural, entertainment and hospitality center.
