New Hungarian Ambassador: ‘Korea is popular foreign posting’
Hungarian Ambassador to Korea Gabor Csaba, 45, is a U.S. expert trained in his country’s foreign ministry since he joined it in the mid-1990s.
He arrived in Seoul for his new mission as ambassador during the Chuseok holiday in September, Korea Times reports.
According to Korea Times, Csaba said that the European financial crisis was a turning point for his country. A shift in major policies, including diplomacy, has followed and this to some degree affected his foreign posting here, he indicated.
“We have learned lessons from the eurozone crisis. It’s not only that we need to diversify our trade relations but also we have to create more production capacity,” he said in a recent interview with The Korea Times.
