The increase slowed from a 17 percent rise in the same period last year, in line with the expectations of Liszt Ferenc operator Budapest Airport.
Passenger numbers in June were up 9.1 percent at 1.5 million.
Cargo volume was down 15.5 percent to 10,700 tonnes in June and fell by 7 percent to 65,700 tonnes in the first half of the year.
Last year, Liszt Ferenc Airport handled a record 14.8 million passengers, 13.5 percent more than in 2017.
As we wrote two weeks ago, European airports’ trade association Airports Council International Europe (ACI EUROPE) held its Annual Assembly, as part of the 29th ACI EUROPE Annual Assembly, Congress & Exhibition. CEO of Budapest Airport Jost Lammers elected to lead European airport association.
