Ryanair’s Hungarian passengers stuck at Bratislava airport

One of Ryanair’s flights from Amman to Budapest was meant to land at 10:55 on Saturday night, but because of the storm, it was directed to Bratislava(Pozsony). They promised the passengers would be transported to Budapest by buses.

A reader of Index, who wanted only to be referred to as Z, told of a rather unpleasant experience to the news outlet. Z’s flight from Jordan’s capital to Budapest was supposed to land at 10:55 PM on Saturday, however, because of the stormy weather, the aeroplane was directed to Bratislava, where they told passengers that they would be taken to Budapest with buses.

This, however, never happened.

According to Z, the Bratislava airport had no idea that Ryanair had requested bus transportation after landing; furthermore, they could not even reach the airline’s competent. The airport tried to help the poor passengers stuck there on their own, but could not find any buses.

  1. If the passengers had to make their pwn way home due to the diversion they are entitled to reimbursement of transportation costs to get to the original airport city, plus reasonable meal expenses
