Technical glitch grounds early morning flights from Budapest airport
Budapest, November 10 (MTI) – A computer glitch at Budapest’s International Liszt Ferenc Airport has grounded several flights scheduled to take off from Terminal 2, the airport’s deputy spokesman told MTI early Monday morning.
Laszlo Kurucz said the airport was working hard to address the issue but could not say when flights would resume. The airport is receiving incoming flights without problem, Kurucz said.
The airport’s website has indicated that the issue has affected nine flights that were originally scheduled to depart between 6am and 7.15am. The problem has affected two London-bound flights along with flights bound for Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Tel Aviv, Eidnhoven, Brussels and Moscow.
Kurucz said passengers would be notified of updates via the airport’s Facebook and Twitter accounts.
