The world’s best luxury forest hotel is Hungarian

The Oxigen Hotel & Zen Spa in Noszvaj has been chosen as the best luxury forest hotel by the World Luxury Hotel Awards.

According to szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu, it’s sensational news for the hotel because this award is the Academy Award of the hotel trade and they are the first Hungarian hotel to win this award.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards is a recognized global organization providing luxury hotels with recognition for their world class facilities and service excellence provided to guests.

Tamás Farkas, the managing director of the Oxigen Hotel & Zen Spa thinks that this is a global acknowledgement, because the awards are adjudged by hotel guests. This is not only the acknowledgement of the hotel, but also of Noszvaj, the Bükk Mountains surrounding the village, the environment, the fauna and flora.

The hotel opened in the summer of 2012. With their 50 rooms they are able to welcome 130 guests. The guest circulation is dynamically growing from year to year; they function with 65-70% fullness. They are mostly visited by home guests; the rate of foreign guests is around 10%. The hotel, which has 35 employees, is run by a company under Hungarian ownership.
