Diplomat spouses visit Sandor Palace
Budapest, November 24 (MTI) – Hungary’s First Lady Anita Herczegh received the spouses of diplomats stationed in Hungary at the Sandor Palace on Tuesday. The First Lady organises recreational and cultural programmes for the wives and husbands of mission leaders twice a year, the president’s office said in a statement.
Early in the summer Herczegh and her guests visited Herend, the site of a porcelain manufactory in western Hungary, and Tihany by Lake Balaton. Last year a visit to Parliament was organised. On this fourth occasion the meeting was at the Sandor Palace.
The guests included 32 wives of diplomats from Azerbaijan, France, Poland, Cuba, Pakistan and Nigeria, among other states, as well as three husbands from the embassies of the US, Mexico and Lithuania.
