Ágnes Kovács, who became a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame last year, got her Marketing and Communications degree in 2005 at the Arizona State University, and also got the highest award for being an exceptional student and sportswoman during her studies.

After returning home, Ágnes Kovács gained her second degree at the Budapest University of Corvinus where she studied economic and sociology, and is currently doing her PhD at the University of Physical Education (also an external lecturer).
“I was very happy to become a member of the Arizona State University’s Sports Hall of Fame – Kovács Ágnes told MTI. – I’ve spent four years in the United States, went to university there, and I was also a member of the university’s swimming team. It was always important for me to be a good student besides being a good sportswoman, so I tried to do my best to be both. Becoming a Hall of Fame member is a great honour and it means that I achieved the goals I set for myself as a little girl, and it’s acknowledged by others as well” – hvg.hu reported.
The inauguration will be on 9 October in Phoenix, Arizona. The new members will be publicly introduced at the halftime of the ASU-Colorado football match the next day at Arizona State University’s stadium.
