Ader receives Hungarian Permanent Conference participants
Budapest, December 3 (MTI) – President Janos Ader gave a reception in honour of participants in the 14th session of the Hungarian Permanent Conference (Maert) in the presidential Sandor Palace on Thursday evening.
In his address at the reception, the president noted the obligation of preserving “the infinitely rich spiritual heritage of our national and European culture” in light of “more and more openly questioning nation states’ right to existence and the importance of belonging to national communities”.
Ader also referred to Hungary’s ensuring fast-track citizenship to ethnic Hungarians, and said that “the joy of a peaceful re-unification of the nation” through the institution of dual citizenship “helps us forget about daily concerns”.
