Police seize drugs worth EUR 245,000 in Budapest
Budapest, December 30 (MTI) – Police have seized illicit drugs worth 77 million forints (EUR 245,000) in Budapest and initiated the pre-trial detention of two suspects, Budapest police said on its website on Wednesday.
The haul included 27,000 pieces of ecstasy, 11.2 kilos of amphetamine, 3.9 kilos of marijuana, 3.7 kilos of hashish, 50 grams of cocaine and 109 grams of other substances, it said.
One of the suspects, Matyas B, was found to be in possession of a sizeable portion of the drugs during a check in the capital’s 12th district.
The check revealed that he took possession of the drugs in the flat of the other suspect, Krisztian S, where police also found large amounts of drugs, related devices and cash.
Legal proceedings are under way.
