Coronavirus – Military taskforces to oversee more strategic companies
The defence ministry on Friday said it is setting up military taskforces at 11 more strategic companies in connection with the novel coronavirus epidemic.
The taskforces will oversee key food processing and pharmaceutical companies with a view to ensuring the continued stable supply of food and medicine in the country, the ministry said in a statement.
Such groups have now been set up at 104 strategic firms, it noted.
The new list of companies to be overseen by the defence ministry includes Schott Hungary, which makes glass ampoules and vials for the pharmaceutical industry, poultry company Master Good, pasta maker Gyermelyi, corn-processing company Hungrana, isoglucose maker Kall Ingredients and biorefinery business Pannonia Bio, among others.
“So far, cooperation between the taskforces and the companies involved has been smooth and successful,” the ministry said.
It noted the March 13 decision to establish taskforces were part of government measures to combat the epidemic.
