World known Hungarian blues man Little G Weevil releases new song about togetherness, equality and rebirth – VIDEO
Multi award winning international recording artist Little G Weevil aka Gabor Szucs (born in Budapest) is releasing a brand new single “Let it Rain” on the 24th of April. The beautiful, rhythm and blues/soul influenced number is now available for downloads and streams in 35 digital music platforms on five continents worldwide.
Music and lyrics have been written by Gee himself as usual but he’s given the lead vocalist role to the one and only Dionne Bennett, a fantastic British Jamaican singer based in Cardiff, Wales.
The song delivers a strong message that calls for togetherness, equality and a chance for rebirth during these difficult times.
The icing on the cake is a deeply moving sample of Martin Luther King’s “We Shall Overcome” speech in the middle of the composition. Â
“I highly respect reverend Dr King’s work and I chose this speech to make a serious point with a hard to forget experience. That speech as many of Dr King’s words are very accurate today. We are having tough times right now. But this is also an opportunity for us to take a break and think about our purpose on this planet, what we value, what our priorities are and most certainly where we are heading from here as humans in general. It’s time for rebirth. We must realize that we are all one regardless of race, sex, skin color, age or nationality. When we’re in trouble and pain, we don’t care where the help comes from and who’s holding our hand, black, white, tall or small. We know that. That is the purest moment, when you realize, you don’t even care who is standing over you or what he or she represents. Whether we live in Hungary, Kenya, China or the Americas, the same things make us happy and make us cry. Simple as that. We must focus on the positive impact we can give to the world as individuals. We cannot ignore each other because that’s all we have. The Universe is giving us another a chance so we might as well learn from our mistakes and rise up together. ” – says Gee Weevil.
