Plácido Domingo in Hungary – Photos, Video
Spanish tenor Plácido Domingo appeared on stage in the Budapest State Opera, and he became honorary doctor of the University of Pécs on Sunday.
Domingo performed arias by Verdi during the first part of the programme. In the second part he sang traditional Zarzuela as a “personal gift” to the Hungarian audience. He met with talented Hungarians, and also, he became honorary doctor of the University of Pécs on Sunday.
The last time Domingo performed on the Hungarian stage was in 1987.
