Based on recent crime statistics, Budapest is the most crime-ridden city of Hungary. Accordingly, the highest number of crimes per 100,000 inhabitants were registered in the Hungarian capital in the first half of 2020.
As the Hungarian news portal Pénzcentrum reports, the number of burglary thefts decreased significantly in the first half of the year, which was obviously due to curfew restrictions. Based on the data of police.hu, criminal activities were listed in the following categories: crime committed in a public place, violence against a person, theft, car theft, car hacking, burglary, vandalism, robbery, riot, property violation.
According to the freshly published statistics, the most crime-ridden city of Hungary is Budapest, where the largest number of crimes per 100,000 inhabitants were realised in the first half of 2020; numerically: 813.
