Budapest, March 22 (MTI) – The local prosecutor’s office has pressed charges against a Serbian national for attempting to smuggle a large amount of cocaine and amphetamines from the Netherlands to Serbia via Hungary, a spokesman for the authority said on Tuesday.
Hungarian customs officers seized 7.5 kilos of cocaine the suspect tried to smuggle into Hungary in October last year at the Röszke border crossing with Serbia, Ferenc Szanka, of Csongrád county prosecution said.
The drugs were packed in seven bags hidden in a concealed compartment of the man’s car carrying German plates, he said.
