Court: Hungarian mother’s kid has to go to Romanian kindergarten!
The court of Kolozsvár (Cluj Napoca) decided that a boy of a Hungarian mother and Romanian father has to go to a Romanian kindergarten even though there are Hungarian institutions in the Transylvanian metropolis.
According to transindex.ro, the court decided to accept the Romanian father’s application. His 3-year-old son has to go to a kindergarten where the language of instruction is Romanian.
The decision is not yet final.
The antecedent of the strange issue is that the parents no longer being a couple could not agree where their son should go after he became three years old. His mother wanted to send him to a Hungarian kindergarten. However, his father opposed the idea saying that he would be disadvantaged if he did not know Romanian well, for example, in the labour market. Since they could not agree, the father turned to the local court.

Well, it is Romania, not Hungary, so what is so strange about it?
In a case like this, a Court makes a Judgement. A Sentence is when a punishment is imposed by a court for an offence. Does no one proof read the DNH? Also, I agree with Mario. The kid is a Romanian citizen.
