Hungary’s farm gate prices climb 27 pc in November
Farm gate prices in Hungary rose 27.2 percent in November from the same month a year earlier, data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) show.
Farm gate prices have risen in the double digits every month since the start of the year.
Crop prices increased by 36.0 percent in November, as grain prices jumped 47.2 percent and industrial crop prices climbed 52.4 percent. Vegetable prices rose by 7.6 percent,
potato prices surged 55.7 percent, but fruit prices fell by 3.1 percent.
Farm gate prices for live animals and animal products increased by 9.8 percent, as prices for live animals rose 7.7 percent and animal products prices climbed 13.8 percent.
The price of live poultry rose 20.9 percent, but hog prices fell 9.1 percent.
The price of milk increased by 12.8 percent and egg prices were up 4.8 percent.
