Accident! M3 metro collided in Budapest
The Budapest Transport Privately Held Corporation (BKV) reported to MTI, that on Friday night a train at the line M3 had collided with another train.
According to BKV the accident happened at the “kihúzó” (pull-out) section of metro line M3 at an area not used by passengers.
Fortunately, there were no passengers on the train at the time of the accident and no personal injury had occurred, – the company said to MTI.

The police, the Transportation Safety Bureau and BKV are currently investigating what might have happened exactly.
According to the company’s reports a third train was also damaged in the accident, and it is now stuck in the area, they said.
An assessment of damages is currently ongoing, but from the pictures it seems that not only the three trains have been damaged in the accident, but also a great portion of the railway track have been lifted and deformed.
Concerning traffic, the company had not yet announced how it will affect it, but from the damage in the pictures, it might have a great impact on traffic.

Hope this wasn’t testing for the driverless trains on the “Proposed” Metro Line 5 ///
Decade at least if this is the case.
Plenty of time to iron out the system malfunctions.
