Matild Palace
The latest luxury hotel in Budapest opened its doors in the proximity of Elizabeth Bridge in the summer of 2021, writes hvg.hu. Matild Palace is the first hotel to represent The Luxury Collection brand of the Marriott Hotel chain in Hungary. The hotel was originally intended to open in 2018, but the date was delayed due to the pandemic.
There are 111 guestrooms and 19 suites.
There is a three-storey Crown Tower Suite on the fifth floor of the palace. With its 48-metre tower, it is completely unique across the country. The tower offers a 360-degree panorama of the Hungarian capital. On top of that, the world-famous chef Wolfgang Puck is in charge of the catering units.
