Hydroplanes restart Hungarian water flight! – VIDEO

Aeroexpress carried out its first successful test flights last Friday and Saturday on the Danube between Adony and Lórév. They aim to restart Hungarian water flight with their HA-SEA Cessna U206F Stationair-type hydroplane. The plane came from Norway where it had the LN-FBI aircraft registration number. The Swiss Awenta Vertriebs GmbH bought it from the Norwegians, and its operator is now Aeroexpress Ltd.

The plane flew to Hungary on August 18, 2021. Customs formalities took place in Bőny, after which it was registered in Hungary. After obtaining all the necessary documents, the plane carried out its first test flight on the Danube between Lórév and Adony on February 4 and 5. The river segment was closed off during the operation, airportal.hu reported.

The last time a Hungarian hydroplane carried out a successful flight was in 1937.

Interestingly, Parliament still has to create the legal framework enabling regular and commercial water flights in Hungary. They have to harmonise the laws on water transport and aviation. However, traffic authorities carried out many developments in the sector.
