New, peculiar inflatable holiday town to be constructed near Budapest

There are a lot of interesting locations in Hungary you can travel to and maybe even camp at, but news has circulated that a one-of-a-kind inflatable holiday village is being built in Délegyháza, using balloon-like plastic tents as accommodation.

Previously, we wrote about a similar accommodation at Nomád Hotel & Glamping. There, Bubbles was a large, inflatable, bubble-shaped tent with a large and transparent-walled bedroom so that guests can gaze at the starry sky and some smaller bubbles serving as other rooms such as the toilet. For obvious reasons, the latter is not see-through.

Travelo reported that the new location will be established in Délegyháza, located in central Hungary, only about 40 kilometres away from the city centre of Budapest, the Hungarian capital.

The news portal writes that the campsite will be 12.5 hectares and will include 86 inflatable tents, and they will be able to house guests by June.

The peculiar dome-shaped tents can be bought by anyone from Heavendropped, and they range from 40 to 300 cubic metres and can be installed to serve several different purposes. Thanks to the panoramic, clear areas of the tent, the view both during the day and during the night is gorgeous. Additionally, the tents are fully equipped, so guests will suffer no shortages.

Gordon Kosinszky, the strategic manager, said that the land the company purchased was named Sakura because the company plans to install cherry-blossom trees on a section of 1.5 kilometres to invoke the beautiful Japanese Sakura trees and paint the mesmerising surroundings pink every spring.

According to Sokszínűvidék, the development of the entire location will be fully completed by 2023, but as we have mentioned, some of the domes will be up for rent this summer. People who are seriously interested in the project can even buy perpetual lease rights for the inflatable domes.

The clean-up of the land area and the construction of utilities is currently ongoing. The first structural building (excluding the domes) will be built around August this year, and the final public opening is planned around Easter 2024.

As mentioned, the domes can be purchased even by private individuals and, depending on their size, they cost between 5 and 8 million forints, which is about €13,200 to €21,100.

While the small ones are perfect for glamping for a couple or a small family, the larger ones can host sports events, team training exercises or even weddings.
