Budapest airport bus fare could double!
The price of the bus ticket to the airport, for the 100E bus, could increase to 1500 forints (4 euros). To do this, the Municipal Assembly will have to adopt a preliminary proposal on Wednesday next week.
Deputy mayor Ambrus Kiss spoke to the press about the bus fare increase. The vote on the bus fare increase will take place on Wednesday. In addition, the new deputy mayor will be elected at a meeting of the Municipal Assembly. The mayors and city councillors of the opposition parties will support Anette BÅ‘sz, a member of the Democratic Coalition, hvg.hu reports.

The price of a bus ticket for the 100E bus may increase.
If approved by the Municipal Assembly, the new fares could come into force from 1 July. At the start of the service, a ticket cost €2.9. However, it is now only €2.5. As 83 per cent of the passengers on the route are foreigners, and the fare is considered cheap, the price increase is justified, telex.hu reports.
The new ticket price could be double the previous one at 1,500 forints or almost 4 euros.
