The artist will exhibit at the Cervantes Institute in Budapest from August 31 to September 2.
The renowned Ecuadorian artist Servio Zapata arrives in Budapest the last week of August, to exhibit his most recent creations under the name “Infinite landscapes of the middle of the World”. Invited by the Ambassador of Ecuador, José Luis Salazar Arrarte, the painter will fill with his landscapes the spaces of the Cervantes Center of Budapest, which will host the exhibition of more than 15 exclusive pieces as an exhibition hall. Zapata is internationally recognized for the realism of his landscape works, although he himself prefers not to define himself as a landscape painter but as a transmitter of peace.
Throughout his history, the realism of his paintings has captivated the art-loving public, thus achieving that in most of his exhibitions most of the pieces to be exhibited are reserved for sale before the exhibition opens. It is important to highlight that Zapata’s audacity and charm awaken the interest of his followers because they are landscapes that the artist finds in his head.
The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge on August 31, August 1 and September 2, between 10 am and 1 pm, and from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. The exhibited pieces will be able for sale.
About the artist
Servio Zapata was born in the town of Zaruma, a center of Ecuadorian gold, in 1969. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Machala, as well as at the Faculty of Design at the University of Azuay and the School of Fine Arts at the University of Cuenca.
Zapata has participated in collective and individual exhibitions in Ecuador and abroad, exhibiting in essential galleries in cities such as Cuenca, Guayaquil, Madrid, Panama, and Miami. Now Budapest will join the list of cities where Zapata’s art has captivated with its infinite realism.
His works, characterized by showing a pure, regal, and at the same time vulnerable nature, have also been auctioned by renowned auction houses such as Christie’s and Sotheby’s in New York, as well as having made different literary covers in Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.
