VIDEO: foreign youtuber visits Hungary’s worst-rated hotel
The popular Slovakian YouTuber PPPeter visited Hungary’s worst-reviewed hotel. Peter and his friend Vlad spent an entire night in the hotel, trying to uncover the reason behind its spot on the list. After the night spent there, the two confronted the hotel’s receptionist and tried to inquire more about the situation.
The Youtuber visits Hungary
PPPeter, a YouTuber with more than 800,000 subscribers, made two videos in Hungary. In his video series, Peter and Vlad travel around Eastern Europe visiting the worst-reviewed hotels and restaurants. When it was Hungary’s turn, they immediately found most likely the worst bar in the history of the series. The bar, simply called Hajós, was a shady business which was immediately exposed by the two guys. Secretly they recorded their whole night, where they got scammed, so everything went as planned. By now, it is alleged that an investigation might start in the case of Hajós.

The other video was more like his regular works. In that, they visited the worst-reviewed hotel in Hungary. But was it that bad? The reviews mentioned a dirty, disgusting hotel and the video might not be very good for the reputation of the place. On Blikk.hu, they even said that he might have gone a little too far this time, but as a longtime follower of Peter, I must object to this, as it is part of his character to exaggerate a little. However, after the “comedy” is over, he gives an insightful review.
The hotel was dirty and there were bedbugs and spiders everywhere. The television did not work at first and only the TV or the fridge can be used one at a time. The room was small and there was no warm water. But to be fair, what can you expect for HUF 14,800 (EUR 36.52), in which breakfast is also included.
It was not that bad
In the video, we can see that the reviews were right about the filth, but it is a cheap accommodation. Although the hotel was kind of dirty, the experience did not turn out to be so horrible.
There is airconditioning and it even works! – said Peter.
The receptionist was incredibly helpful and friendly. During the confrontation, he was very open to the discussion. He even defended other staff members, while trying to explain the reasons behind the problems.
Overall, the hotel could use some cleaning, but the experience was not so bad after all. This is a usual trope in these videos, as Peter usually finds out that these places are not as bad as the reviews say. There are some concerns that it might be damaging to the hotel’s reputation. But in reality, considering the reviews, the video might even improve the situation.
