One of the most important UN programs will establish headquarters in Hungary!
According to a government decree, the Orbán administration is to start negotiations about establishing the headquarters of the Global Payments Solution (GPS) of the Unites Nations’ World Food Program (WFP) in Hungary.
The decree says the government will talk about hosting the new headquarters in Budapest. The leader of the Hungarian delegation for the negotiations will be appointed by Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s minister for foreign affairs and trade.
According to Világgazdaság, the World Food Program is concerned with providing the necessary food supply for the world’s poorest regions. It aims to end starvation on the globe. Founded in 1961, its headquarters is in Rome but it maintains offices in 80 different countries.
